GUIDANCE NOTES

1. Registering Club
You must belong to one of the ACBA member clubs in order to use ACBA’s registration services and through which to process your registrations – all registration applications must be sent to that club. Enter the membership number you hold with the club to process your registrations.

2. Certificate of Entirety
A Certificate of Entirety is required for all un-neutered males over 10 months of age before Mating.

3. Certificate for Umbilical Hernia
A Certificate for Umbilical Hernia is required for all breeding cats male and female before Mating

4. Certificate of Hearing
A Certificate of Hearing is required for all solid white cats and kittens before they can be shown, or their offspring registered.

5. Certified Pedigree
A good quality fully legible scan of a minimum 4-generation certified, pedigree, issued by an acceptable authority, must be provided when importing a cat or kitten from any other register into ACBA pedigree emailed from GCCF is acceptable in its original form.

6. Import and Export
If you are importing a cat into ACBA from any other registry you must provide proof of ownership. This could be a transfer certificate issued by the original registering authority, or a copy of the sales contract between the seller and the buyer, or you may be shown as owner on the original pedigree.

7. Microchip Numbers
All ACBA breeding cats must be micro-chipped, and the number recorded on the cat’s pedigree.

8. Breeder As shown on the Official Certified Pedigree. 

9. Name of Cat or Kitten
The original name of the cat or kitten must be retained.

10. Breed, Colorr and Pattern
For cats being imported from another registry, these are the details as given on the original registration. In addition, if not already shown, the code for eye colour, must be used.
BML, EMS code is only to be used for an agouti silver or golden short haired shaded or tipped cat.Any Asian, in all varieties including the GCCF ‘Burmilla’ will be EMS coded ASH-non or ALH-non depending on whether the Asian is short or long haired.

11. Endorsed Any cat being imported whose pedigree shows that it is not for breeding will be marked as “RESTRICTED, no progeny to be registered”. Endorsements may only be lifted by the breeder.

12. Genetic Tests
Genetic tests are required for certain breeds, please check the FIFe rules and ensure that the required tests have been carried out, and the results registered with FB.

Currently tests are required for PER/EXO (FB Rule), BOM, BUR, KOR, NFO, BAL/SIA, OLH/OSH, PEB, DRX, MCO(PAX 3)
